Here are some reviews of the Dry-Tech MRT Fly Box provided by editors of fly fishing publications and users:

"The Dry-Tech MRT fly box from Angling Designs is an absolute keeper. These boxes feature watertight O-rings and slit foam storage common in many boxes on the market, but inside are removable, non-toxic liquid absorbing crystal packets. I know what you are thinking and I thought the same thing: Just another gimmick; just another fly box. Well it’s not. Trust me on this one.

To start, the box itself is well made, sturdy and actually water tight. The crystal packets, while limiting the number of flies the box can carry, completely prevent corrosion. I started placing flies soaked in saltwater directly into the box. With any other box that I own, this would be a death sentence. With the Dry-Tech MRT, the fly will often dry within the hour, if not a few minutes, with no signs of saltwater corrosion. Not a touch.

I keep trying to get them to rust, but they won’t. I’ve had one in my boat for months. This is a first-class product. If you fish in the salt, get one. Your flies will last a lot longer."

"Every year without fail I find many so-called new inventions in my mail box created to make lives easier for the fly fisher. Rarely do I come across anything really exceptional. The Dry Tech Fly Box is worth writing about because it does exactly as advertised.

I field tested this fly box in rough mid winter conditions and was very pleased when my big Steelhead flies were completely dry not long after closing the box? This quick drying miracle occurred due to Moisture Reduction Technology which dries out wet flies by soaking up moisture and holding it in absorbing crystals. In each fly box a tray of these crystals eliminates all moisture and can be reused by placing the crystals in a micro wave oven after five trips or so. What a great idea this is for hardcore or occasional fly fishers. How many of you have thrown away favorite patterns after finding them a soggy mess, hooks rusted?

I love working dry flies, especially the little #18 or smaller, these flies are delicate anyway! After one or two times on the water they need to be redressed or recycled. This new technology has saved many patterns for me this year by completely drying them in no time. These boxes come in different sizes in water tight rugged high tech plastic. If your tired of losing your best patterns because of moisture, this fly box will save you money and time. "

"The Dry-Tech Boxes are very sturdily made looking as though they could be driven over by a truck without sustaining damage."

"All your steelhead flies can now stay dry and free of rust in the new, innovative fly box called the Dry-Tech MRT. Not just another fly storage box, this baby actually dries your flies. The box uses Moisture Reduction Technology (MRT) to wick away moisture. Little moisture absorbing crystals safely stored away in a pack reside inside the box and work their magic. A ton of research and technology went into this, and let me tell you, it really works! I took one home and ran my own tests to see for myself. Sure enough, it dried my flies as advertised. The box itself is bulletproof and watertight. "

"To say that the Dry-Tech MRT (Moisture Reduction Technology) Fly Boxes from Angling Designs are a design innovation for fly fishermen is an understatement. As a full time writer/developer, and former river guide with a life long passion for fly fishing, I am in awe of the advancement in fly box technology by Angling Designs for all fly fishermen Worldwide.

The first thing that you notice is the way it feels in your hands and when you lock the box, you can feel the lip sink into the cushioned O-ring and then snap shut for that airtight, waterproof seal. This fly box is completely unique in its design, appearance, and functionality. I really like it, and you will too! Okay so they are a little bulky, but well worth the size when compared to the cost of replacing flies, or losing that trophy fish.

It better be tough enough to withstand extreme conditions. This fly box does just that. It takes wet streamers that have been immersed in cold water and immediately starts to remove the moisture from those feathers, yarn, chenille, or rabbit fly materials. The best part is the way it will reduce the corrosion from the moisture on the hooks and thence save you money in the process! This is going to sound cliché but this could quite possibly be the last fly box you will ever need!  After a little more than two weeks of hard use, these boxes performed much better than expected, even taking a beating from dropping, to throwing it in the water, and now have my recommendation to all fly fishermen and women.

Overall, I’d have to say that the Dry Tech MRT (Moisture Reduction Technology) Fly Boxes are going to be the norm for fly anglers worldwide.  I know most anglers have lost some nice fish due to hook corrosion, myself included, but with these new fly boxes, that will be in the past thanks to the breakthrough in MRT and Angling Designs. I highly recommend these fly boxes to fishermen all over the world, you’ll be proud to own and display all your wet/dry flies in class and style with great functionality built right in."

"Well there's a new fly box on the market, one that my friend Ronan needs, one in fact that perhaps we all need. Non-toxic gel crystals absorb water and keep the inside of the box--and flies--at a constant dry humidity.

Bull Trout, if you didn't know eat rabbit flies, big ones, so I filled the MRT box with bunnies. During fishing, I intentionally returned the soaked flies to the box. As you probably know, this would mean that all of your flies would be rusty in no time, especially if you use a waterproof box. The following days my rabbits would be dry and with no corrosion.

All in all a first class product. "
